Just Adventure

So far we have pleasing graphics, an easy interface, and unique puzzles… but what about the down side? The only issue I had was that the game occasionally got tedious, but this could simply be a result of being stuck for so long. I wouldn’t really call this an exciting adventure, but more a relaxing and sedate journey. It’s a chill game. Still, I think it’s worth exploring, especially if you’re a Jules Verne fan, which is why I give it: B+

Quandary

I thought that maybe the game could have been designed a bit tighter so that it wasn't so easy to solve puzzles before having all the clues, but I know I'm on shaky ground here. Many players prefer openness (or non-linearity) in adventure games, so I shouldn't dwell on this point.

Adventure Gamers

VOYAGE is another winner from Kheops Studio. A lot of the gameplay borrows from old conventions, but is presented in new ways that work well with the setting and plot. If you didn't like Return to Mysterious Island, VOYAGE probably isn't for you. But everyone else is in for a treat.

Voyage doesn’t explore new gaming territory, but it’s a solid adventure title. It also does a really good job of bringing a somewhat forgotten classic to life. Kudos to the Adventure Company for creating a space game that does not involve barrel-chested action heroes, space ships hurtling along at warp speed, or acid-drooling aliens bent on world domination. This title is a worthy addition to any adventure gamer’s collection. After all, where else can you get to play a French scientist who travels the galaxy with a chicken?

Kheops Studio signe là encore avec cette oeuvre plutôt originale un excellent jeu d’aventure, long, intéressant et sympathique, qui requiert patience, réflexion et logique, tout en l’agrémentant d’un système de jeu innovant (les bonnes idées de Retour sur l’Ile Mystérieuse sont bonifiées). Kheops Studio fait encore une fois mouche, s’imposant comme un studio sur lequel compter pour les prochaines années.
